Terms

Terms of Service.

The agreement between you and Veridanth. Plain English, no surprises. Last updated: 30 May 2026.

1. What this is

These Terms govern your use of Veridanth — the website at veridanth.app, the Veridanth Studio (our AI tools), and any consultancy or coaching engagements you book through us. By creating an account or paying for an engagement, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please don't use the platform.

These Terms reference our Privacy Policy (how we handle your data) and our Coaching Policy (how the AI coach behaves). They form one agreement.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 to create your own account. Under-16s can use Veridanth through a parent or guardian's account.
  • We sign you in by emailing a one-time link to your inbox. Keep that inbox secure — anyone with access to it can sign in as you.
  • One account per person. Don't share sign-in links or let someone else use your session.
  • The information you give us at sign-up (name, email) must be accurate.

3. The Veridanth Studio

3.1 Coaching, never authoring

Every tool in the Veridanth Studio is a coach. The AI rewrites, tightens, expands and critiques using only the facts you give it; where a specific value is missing, it leaves a[bracketed placeholder]. It does not invent sample sizes, p-values, citations, co-authors, institutions, quotes attributed to other people, or grant figures. The full ethics commitment is in our Coaching Policy.

3.2 You own what you produce

The CV, statement, manuscript, grant, budget, press kit, protocol, brief, deck — whatever you generate in the studio — belongs to you. We claim no rights to it. We do not use it to train AI models.

3.3 The honest-attribution rule

You agree to use Veridanth's output the way a coach's notes are used: as your own work, shaped by a tool, presented as yours. Specifically:

  • Do not submit AI-rewritten text as someone else's original work.
  • Do not submit AI-rewritten text to an examiner, journal, funder or institution that has explicitly forbidden AI assistance for that submission. That's academic fraud, and it's on you.
  • If an institution requires you to disclose AI assistance, please do.

The Authorship Trail in Veridanth Docs exists precisely so you can prove the words are yours when a detector wrongly flags them. Use it.

3.4 Fair use of the AI

You agree not to:

  • Automate, scrape, or proxy the AI endpoints (each coach call costs us a paid LLM request).
  • Resell the AI runs to anyone else.
  • Generate content that's illegal under Ghanaian law (hate, harassment, sexual material involving minors, instructions for harm, etc.).
  • Try to extract our system prompts, jailbreak the coach, or otherwise abuse the service.

If you do any of this we may pause or close your account without notice.

4. Subscriptions (Veridanth Pro)

  • The studio's AI coach is a Veridanth Pro feature. Free users get a limited daily trial; a paid plan unlocks unlimited runs across every studio.
  • Plans are priced in Ghanaian Cedis (GHS): Student Pro GHS 100/month, Researcher GHS 300/month, Business GHS 600/month. The current schedule lives at veridanth.app/pricing.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew monthly on the same day you started, charged via Paystack on mobile money or card.
  • You can cancel any time from your account page. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep unlimited access until the end of the current billing period.
  • We don't pro-rate refunds for a partial month, except where required by law or where we've broken something on our end. Email billing@veridanth.app for genuine refund cases.
  • If a renewal payment fails, the plan stays active until the period end, then quietly drops to Free unless you re-subscribe.

5. Engagements (coached work)

For services that need a real human reviewer — proposal development, methodology support, manuscript prep and so on — you book a tiered engagement at a fixed cedi price. The work ships in milestonesand you sign off on each one before the funds are released.

  • Escrow. When you pay for an engagement, the funds are held by Paystack and only released to the team or partner as you approve milestones. You are not paying anyone in advance.
  • Scope. The booking page describes the deliverable and turnaround for each tier. We'll confirm scope before kickoff; out-of-scope additions are a change order.
  • Mediation. If a dispute arises, you can open a mediation request from your dashboard. We aim to mediate within 72 hours. If we can't reach an outcome both sides accept, we refund the unreleased milestones.
  • No guarantees of outcome. We can polish your scholarship application; we cannot promise Chevening. We can prepare your manuscript; the journal editor decides. We work to professional standards, not to outcomes that aren't ours to control.

6. Specialist partners

When a project needs a niche specialty we don't keep on staff, we bring in Ghana-Card-verified partner experts. They work under Veridanth's engagement terms and our coaching ethics. We remain your point of contact for billing and dispute resolution; the partner remains a Veridanth-paid contributor.

7. Your content and your data

Most of what you type into the studio stays in your browser (localStorage). When you ask the AI for a draft, rewrite or critique, we send the relevant text to our AI provider for that one call and discard it once the response streams back. We do not train models on your content. The full picture lives in our Privacy Policy.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process and display your content solely so we can run the platform you're paying us for. That licence ends when you delete the content. We can't use it for any other purpose.

8. Our intellectual property

Veridanth's name, logo, the design of the platform, the rubrics and templates inside the studios, the coaching prompts, the Authorship Trail proof format — these belong to us. We license them to you for your personal or institutional use of the platform. Don't copy the studio interface or rebrand our rubrics as your own product.

9. Disclaimers

  • The studio is a coach, not a substitute for professional advice. Talk to a supervisor, lawyer, doctor or accountant for decisions in those domains.
  • The AI can make mistakes. Check the numbers. Check the citations. The placeholders exist because the model genuinely doesn't know — when you fill them in, you're the source of truth.
  • External services that the platform talks to — funder portals, journal portals, OpenAlex, Paystack — can go down. We aren't liable for their outages.
  • We provide the platform “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent allowed by Ghanaian law, we disclaim implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted operation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Ghanaian law, Veridanth's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform is capped at the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) GHS 1,000. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, missed opportunities, lost data, etc.).

Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under Ghanaian law (e.g. fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by our negligence).

11. Termination

  • You can leave anytime. Cancel your subscription from /account; delete your account by emailing privacy@veridanth.app.
  • We can suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms, abuse the AI, or do something that puts Veridanth or its users at legal risk. Where possible we'll give you notice and a chance to fix the issue.
  • On account closure, your right to use the platform ends. Sections that should reasonably survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law) continue to apply.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Disputes arising under them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana, except that we both agree to try good-faith mediation first.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. We'll update the “Last updated” date at the top, and if a change materially affects your rights or obligations we'll notify you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree to a change, you can cancel and close your account before it applies to you.
